With a little crunch and a little chew, this vegan, soy free, dairy free, and gluten free bar has just enough chocolate, which is coated along the bottom, to make this experience good.

It's not exactly as I expected based on the name. I thought it would be a lot more "raw" and chunky feeling, especially with the picture of a mound of trail mix on front of the package. While those raw aspects are there to a degree, it's obvious they tried making it into one harmonious bar, and did a good job, especially when compared to other bars.

The chunks are a bit smaller than I expected, and just barely some chewy stickiness to keep everything packed nicely together without having to pick up part of your bar off the floor. It's not sticky though, and that's good for a on-the-go bar. I hate having to find a handy-wipe or a restroom to wash up after a simple snack bar because of all the stick.

The taste is fairly plain, and not real sweet (which I am glad of) with obvious hints of nuts and crispy rice pieces, all on a mild base of dark chocolate. Chocolate always makes it a little better.

For this bar having 9g of protein, being vegan, and being soy, dairy and gluten free, it's a solid snack bar for those on the go like me.
