These have a great roasted flavor with just a very slight hint of bitterness. The taste becomes quite addictive, even though this an extremely healthy dish. Simple, easy, and great.
We like our brussels sprouts to be sort of a crun-chewy texture and slicing them before roasting makes this easy.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. brussels sprouts
- 1/4 C Extra virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt to taste
- Pepper to taste (optional)
Directions:
- Cut off the brown ends on the brussels sprouts and slice them into 1/4 inch thin slices.
- On a baking sheet, evenly spread out brussels spouts, then sprinkle them with salt and pepper.
- Pour olive oil on the brussels sprouts, then toss with your hands or a utensil making sure they are well coated.
- Roast them in a 400F oven, stirring them occasionally so that they cook evenly, all the while making sure they are spread out on the pan for even baking.
- They are done when they are nicely browned, approximately 30-40 minutes
