Have you ever been diagnosed with IBS before you were properly diagnosed?

Definitely. I've had colonoscopies and endoscopies and every other type of "scopy." Every time the doctors have said, everything looks fine. You just have IBS. They should label it WHNC - We Have No Clue. Interesting enough, gluten sensitivity or even an elimination diet never came into the conversation, and these were very good and highly respected doctors.

Luckily, I have found a fantastic doctor that takes the time to try and figure out what's really going on and has helped me along this arduous journey. Medicine is not perfect, and our society puts great demands on the medical community, but I fear that there are lots of people with "IBS" that might have a gluten sensitivity, celiac, or other common food-related allergies.
