This recipe is for a busy family who has no time to cook. Throw all ingredients into a slow cooker and let it cook over night or start the cooker in the morning and cook it all day. The house will be smelling great when you come home for dinner. Serve it over noodles or rice, and you have a great, filling, and tasty meal that is easy to make. Read more...

This dish is off the charts in the healthy-for-you category with ingredients found on the top of the nutrient density list - kale and broccoli. The sun-dried tomatoes balance out the kale and broccoli nicely and it gives an overall balanced taste. This makes an excellent side-dish. Believe it or not, both broccoli and kale are in the same family - the cabbage family. Both are high in Vitamin C, and kale is high in Vitamin A and K as well as beta-carotene. Read more...

These have a great roasted flavor with just a very slight hint of bitterness. The taste becomes quite addictive, even though this an extremely healthy dish. Simple, easy, and great. We like our brussels sprouts to be sort of a crun-chewy texture and slicing them before roasting makes this easy. Read more...

This is a nice little simple, yet tasty dish. There seems to be a lot of garlic in the recipe, but many will think it is somewhat mild since the garlic is roasted and has the texture of a potato. We love it! Our suggestion is to use the amount of garlic called for in the recipe and you can always pick out the garlic if you think it is too much. Plus, garlic is a great health food. Make sure not to prepare and eat this if you are going on a date the same night :) Read more...

Tasty muffins that make it very heard to tell it's gluten-free! We've give them to friends and until we told them, they didn't know the difference. These muffins are not overly sweet and have a great texture. If you need extra sweetness, we like to drizzle some raw honey on them. Read more...

Hearty and warm soup that is perfect for the winter. Gluten-free and dairy-free. It can easily be converted to vegan by substituting honey with agave nectar. This soup is one of our favorites. The color is absolutely beautiful and will brighten up any dinner. With a good blender, it is extremely smooth, thick, and rich. Sprinkle nutmeg over it before serving to put it over the top. Delicious and healthy! Read more...

This recipe is great because it's a quick and easy to make and can be made in advance. It's also great for leaving in the fridge for a healthy, filling snack. We like to keep this in the fridge as a last minute addition to tacos when all you have are the shells, maybe some chicken, and a red bell pepper. If you've cooked the chicken ahead of time, you can literally have tacos for the family in less than 10 minutes. Read more...
